Maximizing Student Engagement in Today's International School Classrooms: Lessons From a Music Teacher!
In my work internationally (and in the US) with music teachers, I have found that music teachers have much to offer "general" classrooms and "specific" classroom disciplines regarding student engagement in all classrooms. I look forward to sharing my ideas observing and working with hundreds of music teachers and more than 25 on-site professional development visits worldwide regarding student engagement: the key to moving students and classrooms forward regardless of the curriculum. In this interactive session, we will explore the techniques for achieving learning successes using the tools of "accurate" correction and reinforcement. Teachers will walk out of the session with successful strategies to increase student learning, motivation and morale that can be implemented the next day they are in their classrooms.
